To me, spring = butterflies and I’ve been spending my days making butterfly cards to share with you.

Here is a fun technique you can try using the reverse image of the large die.
I simply laid the die cut piece on top of a white mat and used my blending brushes and 2 ink colors to create a subtle background for my card.  For this card I used Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight.

Here are 2 other color combos…Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.
And So Saffron and Mango Melody…
Super easy and very pretty. Give it a try!

Class in the Mail
I am piloting a new class series this month called Class in the Mail. My intent is to provide a new one each month..so your response will be the key to its success!

How does it work?
I announce the product you need to pre-order…you order it through me…I pre-cut all the supplies and put together project packets and mail them to you. Then you will receive a PDF file that includes pictures and detailed instructions on how to create the 4 projects. Sound like fun? I would love for you to give it a try and provide me with feedback. This is a great opportunity for some of you who are long distance customers and never have a chance to attend one of my classes:)

Stampin’ Up! has these really great Acetate Card Boxes this holiday season. They are clear card boxes that neatly and safely store your finished cards. Each box holds 5 standard cards plus envelopes and you get 10 boxes in a package.
What other things can you put there besides cards? Hmmm…the themes are endless.

We wrapped Ghirardelli Chocolates and decorated the box like this!

And 9 rolled wafers fit in one box. (I buy the Pirouline Chocolate Hazelnut Wafers in a big cannister from Costco.) Don’t they look yummy?!

This is probably the most inexpensive, yet very practical, gift you can give this year. It is a small notebook made from 1 piece of Designer Series Paper and a few sheets of photocopy paper. That’s it!
You can use your favorite papers to create a million different notebooks. Simply fold each piece in half and use your bone folder to make it really nice and flat.

Here are the measurements for this one, but you can make them any size you want. Just make sure that the photocopy paper is about 1/8″ smaller than your cover.
Cover: 8-1/2″ x 8-1/4″
Photocopy Paper: 5 pieces cut at 8-3/8″ x 8-1/8″

Decorate the front however you like. I just love this saying from the Just Add Text stamp set (#143931) in the Annual Catalogue. I cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits…which I also love!

Look how much fun I am having with Pick a Pattern…

You will notice at first glance that I’ve used the Pick a Pattern DSP a couple of different ways. I’ve used large pieces as background tiles, and then I’ve also fussy-cut all the little images from one of the pages in the pack. I cannot stand how cute these images are!

This one was designed by one of our Artisan Members (Cathy Caines)…The black/white dotted piece is adhered onto the front of a white card base. The ombre Dapper Denim piece is actually from the Color Theory Pack (also on the sale list!). The greeting “Happy Life” is from the very versatile Tabs for Everything Stamp Set.  It suits this whimsical card to a tee.

I just kept cutting…I couldn’t stop! How adorable is this little woodland scene? (Thank you Donna Wizniuk.)Another variation…this time using the Woodlands Embossing Folder to add to the forest background. The greetings on these cards are from the coordinating stamp set called Pieces & Patterns. And guess what? The stamp set is 15% off until October 10th as part of the World Card Making Day Promotion. Does it get any better than that?
