This weekend I spent some time creating with the Peaceful Poppies Elements.
You can add artistic touches with these die-cut printed accents, perfect for watercoloring with your choice of coloring tools. There are 8 sheets in total: 2 sheets printed black elements; 2 sheets printed thick cardstock; 2 sheets printed vellum; and 2 sheets watercolor paper.
I challenged myself to use each of the accents at least once.
These first 3 cards used the die-cut printed accents so they were already colored.
The first idea came from Erica Cerwin…
Then I came up with this birthday card. It’s probably my favorite…
And a sympathy card…
The vellum pieces stumped me a bit at first, but then I simply used my blends markers to color the back side and then I placed them on black cardstock so the colors showed up a bit better…
I love how it turned out. The label pieces are from the Painted Labels Dies and the brick background is made with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.
Then there are 2 sheets of watercolor paper with the poppy images clear embossed. These are so cool because you can sponge color…brayer color…blend with our Blends Markers…or color with an Aqua Painter on these elements. For this card, I used my Aqua Painter and the following colors: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove, Terracotta Tile, Old Olive, Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce.
The white frame was made using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. So, so pretty!
Finally, I made this small thank you note card…
I used Terracotta Tile and Blackberry Bliss to create an ombre effect.
That’s all for today.
I hope you’re inspired to order this beautiful package of Peaceful Poppies Elements.
