Where will you go when you retire?

The Retiring Stamp Set and Accessories List is out! Doesn’t this look like a lovely place to retire?Retired List Beach ChairI’m going to sit in my chair (unfortunately not at the beach) and go through the retired list.

You can see what is retiring on my website HERE.

Some of the regular catalogue retiring items will be discounted. Typically retiring accessories are “while supplies last” so some desirable items will sell out quickly. Act FAST if you want any accessories!!

Please make sure to order what you want quickly, especially those In Colors that are leaving before they are gone. (Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, and Tangelo Twist.)

Have a great day and happy shopping. Thanks for stopping in.

This is the last time

Well, this is the last time I will post the weekly deals...this is the final week they will have this promotion. Although I am sad to see them go, I look forward to seeing what’s next!! There is always something new and exciting just around the corner.Weekly Deals Apr 12-18I want to draw your attention to one item in particular that is on here…the Rose Garden Thinlits. I am featuring these thinlits and the coordinating stamp set in my card clubs this month. Some of the members missed out last week because their class didn’t fall within the ordering period…but guess what?! It’s back on this week! A bit surprised, but oh so happy!!

So I thought I’d post a few of the projects they will be making.Rose-Wonder-1This first design came from my friend Donna and features a couple of techniques: paper piecing and the pleated skirt technique.

Paper Piecing:  I die-cut the rose twice…first in gold foil and second in basic black. I glued the gold rose down first and then filled it in with the black pieces. A little tedious…but stunning. Looks harder than it is.

Pleated Skirt:  I started with a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measures 7-3/4″ x 3″.  Cut it at an angle and score on long side at 3″, 3-1/2″, 5″, and 6-1/8″. (There is a great tutorial by Becky Roberts on splitcoaststampers.com. )

Rose-Wonder-2I think this one is my favorite. It is a wedding card made by my friend Sherry. We are heading into the popular wedding season, so I can see myself making a few of these. I’ll show you a few different pictures of this so you can see how it fits together.Rose-Wonder-3The belly band (2″ x 8-1/2″) was punched on both ends using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I wrapped it around the card and tied it together with the beautiful Pool Party Glitter Ribbon. It just slides off.Rose-Wonder-4A very small portion of the black rose outlines are glued behind the white quarter sheet of cardstock (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″). They fold back to reveal the vellum piece with greeting behind.Rose-Wonder-5How beautiful is that?!

The final one I want to share with you is this one.Rose-Wonder-6The rose and leaves were embossed in white (rose onto Blushing Bride cardstock and the leaves onto Old Olive cardstock). Then I sponged blushing bride ink over top of the rose and pear pizzazz onto the leaves. It really made this image pop! I then hand-cut the image out and finished the card.

When I made this card, I had no idea I’d be needing it this week. A dear friend’s husband passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. He lost his very short and intense battle with cancer. We will celebrate his life… and he will be missed.

Just a reminder, that this is the last time for the weekly deals. I encourage you to check them out and then when you’re ready to place an order, click HERE.

On Monday, the Retiring List comes out! Eeek!

Have a great weekend everyone,
