Catalogue Inspiration

Have you had a little catalogue inspiration lately? When was the last time you sat down and actually looked at all the different samples made with the products we sell? I love how they display coordinating products at the beginning of each showcased suite.

Today’s inspiration comes from the Botanical Gardens suite on pg. 26 of the Occasions Catalogue. My clubs are doing projects from this suite this month, so I wanted to make a few extra ideas to show them. The small terra cotta pot with pansy flowers is adorable! Pair it with the small 3 x 3 card, and you have a perfect hostess thank you or a sweet gift for a friend or co-worker. Don’t you think this would brighten up someone’s day?Botanical-Blooms-1The colors used were Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, and Mint Macaron…all coordinating colors found in the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also used one of the Botanical Gardens Jewels on the card and decorated the rim of the pot with the Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape.

You can bundle and save 15% by purchasing the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set + Botanical Builder Framelit Dies + Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper. Get all 3 for $64.25! This is the first time they’ve added the DSP to the bundle. Great deal!

Video Project

I was recently asked by Stampin’ Up! to participate in a Video Project for our new Compensation Plan. Shannon West and Ben Naccarato flew up from Salt Lake City to film me interviewing 2 of my team members.  It was an honor but to be honest, I was a bit nervous. They flew in a day early and we had the privilege of having Shannon do a small presentation at our monthly team meeting.
Team_Meeting_june 2015The table centrepieces were paper pinwheels on straws…with 2 exceptions. We gave Shannon a Canadian Pinwheel…and her drink of choice: Diet Coke!!
pinwheels_1pinwheel_Canadianpinwheels_and_diet_cokeThe pinwheels are super easy to make. And they can be any size square. I used 4″ squares for these. Mark the center with a pencil and cut in from each of the corners to almost the center. Fold over every second point to the center. You can either stick a brad through all the pieces to secure them or just use glue dots and finish off with an embellishment.

The following day, they came to my house and we filmed one in the morning…Sherry Roth…

Shannon_at_workAll in all it was a super fun day and we really enjoyed our time together with Shannon and Ben:) on this Video Project. Ben was such a great sport later in the afternoon when he escorted Shannon to West Edmonton Mall so she could go shoe shopping. He was busy taking pictures of the large indoor water park and all the fun things there for his kids back home. I am happy to report that she was successful in finding a fun pair of shoes. I’ll let you in on a little secret…she likes to buy a new pair of shoes in each place she visits. And she visits a lot of places!! LOL!

Today on vacation, we went to the beach. Had some pretty fun moments with some of my favorite people…
