Creative Christmas Ideas

It’s time to start making that list…and coming up with some creative Christmas gift ideas this year. I thought I’d help you out my sharing two of the projects we made in our annual Creative Christmas Class last week.

#1
Stampin’ Up! has these really great Acetate Card Boxes this holiday season. They are clear card boxes that neatly and safely store your finished cards. Each box holds 5 standard cards plus envelopes and you get 10 boxes in a package.
Acetate-Boxes-ImageWhat other things can you put there besides cards? Hmmm…the themes are endless.

We wrapped Ghirardelli Chocolates and decorated the box like this!
(Original idea from Patti Bennett.)
Acetate-Boxes-1And 9 rolled wafers fit in one box. (I buy the Pirouline Chocolate Hazelnut Wafers in a big cannister from Costco.) Don’t they look yummy?!
Acetate-Boxes-2We also sell these adorable treat tubes…
Acetate-Boxes-38 of them fit sideways in the Acetate Box. How fun is that?
#144628 Acetate Card Boxes  $8.50 (10 boxes)
#144612 Treat Tubes $6.50 (12 plastic tubes and cork stoppers)

#2
This is probably the most inexpensive, yet very practical, gift you can give this year. It is a small notebook made from 1 piece of Designer Series Paper and a few sheets of photocopy paper. That’s it!
DSP bookletYou can use your favorite papers to create a million different notebooks. Simply fold each piece in half and use your bone folder to make it really nice and flat.

Here are the measurements for this one, but you can make them any size you want. Just make sure that the photocopy paper is about 1/8″ smaller than your cover.
Cover: 8-1/2″ x 8-1/4″
Photocopy Paper: 5 pieces cut at 8-3/8″ x 8-1/8″

Decorate the front however you like. I just love this saying from the Just Add Text stamp set (#143931) in the Annual Catalogue. I cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits…which I also love!

Remember the Designer Series Paper Sale ends October 31st…Buy 3 get 1 free! You might need to stock up if you are going to make some fun notebooks.

Falling in Love

The new Falling in Love Suite in the Occasions Catalogue is a wonderful combination of romance and shabby chic. When I first opened the catalogue to that page, I fell in love. Everything about it…the colors, the embellishments, the paper, the doilies, the ribbon…all of it.

I wanted to share with you one of the projects my leaders made at our last Diva Day.
Love BoxesWe decorated the white Stampin’ Up! gift boxes with the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. The clear acetate sleeves slide on and protects the paper. We used the Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Lace Doilies (which are white on one side and vanilla on the opposite side), and a Falling in Love embellishment. The ovals were cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the letters were cut from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Large Letters Framelits. It’s just so elegant looking. I love it. It sits on my shelf and makes me happy.

**Just a heads up … the Stitched Shapes Framelits will be available again starting Monday, January 16th!!! Yay!

These boxes can be used to make any word you want. Some of you may have chosen a word for the year…something you will focus on. These boxes would be perfect for that! Or what about spelling HOME…or a baby’s name?! The possibilities are endless. 8 boxes come in a package for $10.50.

These supplies and much more can be found in my online store. Click HERE to shop, and remember to use the HOSTESS CODE:  NMA9SW9A at the checkout screen.

Gift Bag Punch Board

This Gift Bag Punch Board is on the Weekly Deals. (#135862  Was $25 now on for $18.75)
Check out how quick and easy it is to make small gift bags…

The bases are as follows:
Small … 2 x 2-5/8″
Medium … 2 x 3-3/8″
Large … 2 x 3-5/8″

They are all 2″ wide and 4-1/2″ tall. Although the height can be shortened by folding over the tops.

Here are 3 cute little birthday bags I made up: Gift-BagsSometimes you don’t need a huge gift bag…sometimes the occasion calls for something small and cute:) Remember…good things come in small packages. Wouldn’t it be nice to just whip these up whenever you need one? … With coordinating papers you used on the card?  This says “handmade from the heart”. Who wouldn’t want to be the recipient of one of these thoughtful gifts!

I used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack to make these bags. This stack has 48 sheets: 4 of each double-sided designs. 12″ x 12″. Imagine how many bags you could make with this pack! (#140552 $32.00) This paper is from the Occasions Catalogue on p.5.
