Christmas Stamp A Stack Weekend

Well, it was a busy stamp a stack weekend in the Stampin’ Room. Ladies signed up for a time over the 3 days to crank out their Christmas cards for this year.
2016-christmas-sas-roomI should have taken an “after” picture, because it sure didn’t look like this! LOL! But we sure had fun. I have been doing Christmas Stamp a Stack weekends for about 13 years, and I think for the first time in many years, we didn’t have a winter storm. The sun was actually shining:)

They have about 35 minutes at each station to complete 5 identical cards. There are 4 stations, so they leave with 20 cards. My husband and son served amazing drinks (coffee/apple ciders/hot chocolate) and Christmas baking, but they didn’t have much time for eating. They were very focused on getting their cards done. I usually have my daughters helping out at the stations, but alas this year they were not able to be here. My friend Pearl kindly stepped in and did a wonderful job. A big shout out to Pearl!

Here are the 4 designs they made:2016-christmas-sas-cardsAll the cards were made using sets in the Holiday Catalogue. This first one is from the beautiful Star Light Bundle. Not your traditional Christmas colors, but I do love it. Minus the fact that I had to pre- cut all their glimmer stars for them on the Big Shot!!
2016-christmas-sas-1The second one uses a stamp from the Suite Season set. If you love it as much as I do, you might want to check out the Year-End Sale…the clear-mount set is one of the many that are on sale right now. They colored the greeting stamp with 3 different markers: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Soft Suede. Remember that we don’t currently sell individual markers but they have paired the Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green together for us in the Holiday Catalogue. After December, that pairing will be gone.
2016-christmas-sas-2This third one was designed by the talented Krista Frattin. It features the new Stitched Shapes Framelits that were so WILDLY popular that they have already gone on backorder!! Sadly, they will not be available to order again until January. But good news is, that’s when Sale-a-bration starts so it can be part of your $60 order then. The greeting is from the Tin of Tags stamp set…also on sale right now.
2016-christmas-sas-3And finally, because Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year…they made this one. There are no punches or framelits used on this one, just pretty ribbons and embellishments. I am loving navy and red this year.
2016-christmas-sas-4I hope these inspire you to finish up your Christmas cards this year. Be sure to head on over to my Online Store to check out the huge Year-End sale going on right now. I am sure there is something there that interests you…and why not get it when it’s on sale!! This is a great time to stock up on stocking stuffers for that crafty one on your list as well.

Happy Monday everyone,

November Simply Beautiful Card Class

These are the 4 designs the ladies made last week. They made 2 of each of these cards. The first one in particular, uses the Wonder of Christmas stamp set which is on sale this week! wonder-of-christmas I love, love, this card. Look closely at her skirt bottom…they are the wings! So I just stamped the set of wings twice with white craft ink on vellum cardstock. I let them sit overnight to make sure they were good and dry. Then I just cut them out and stuck them on with glue dots. Also, the circle background was made with the new Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (#145372).
star-of-light-2 I love this clean and simple star card made with the Star of Light stamp set and coordinating framelits. You just need Whisper White Cardstock and Silver Glimmer Paper. I embossed the greeting on the oval (again cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies) with silver embossing powder. So pretty.
christmas-pines-1Lots of layering on this card! Firstly, the Pine Bough Embossing Folder (#141831) on the Mint Macaron mat is a MUST! And it’s on sale this week for only $7 through the ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA!! The stamp set used was Christmas Pines (#142049) and it is on sale also for $32.25. The piece of Designer Series Paper at the bottom is from the Presents & Pinecones pack (#141986).joyful-nativityTheir final card was created with the Joyful Nativity stamp set from the main catalogue. The city was embossed with gold and popped up on top of a small nest of gold thread. The color combination is very elegant I think. You may be wondering about the gold scalloped piece on the black? It is from the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate in the main catalogue. You have to check it out. (It’s on pg. 175.) One side of the sheet is gold, and the other side is silver. So cool!

All the supplies used on these cards can be purchased through my online store.

Have a great day everyone!

October Club Projects

I thought you might like to see my October Club Projects. It’s never too early to make Christmas cards…thankfully the ladies in my stamp clubs agree. This month we focused on the Merriest Wishes Stamp Set and Merry Tags Framelits Dies from the Holiday Catalogue. Bundle them together and you save 10%.

Card #1
The star of this card is the shaker element. We used the foam adhesive strips, window sheets, and metallic sequins to create this beautiful ornament that is sure to delight young and old.
merriest-wishes-1Card #2
This tree cut-out shape is hung through a die-cut circle on the front panel. I think this was their favorite. Do you see the mini copper pinecone? Adorable.
merriest-wishes-2Card #3
We used aqua painters and a night of navy ink pad with refill to create this watercolor wash background. The woodland scene ornament was die-cut 5 times! … twice in crumb cake and once each in vellum, garden green, and early espresso. So worth it though.
merriest-wishes-3We also featured this die-cut in my Creative Christmas Class on the weekend.
merriest-wishes-5Hershey Nuggets are my go-to chocolate pieces for little treats over the holidays. It’s super easy to decorate them with strips of 1″ x 3″ Designer Series Paper. I used the Garden Green plaid pieces from the 6″ x 6″ Warmth & Cheer paper stack (#141991) on these. Place the chocolates in our 2″ x 8″ Cellophane Bags (#14173) and tie the bag closed with Kraft Rope Trim (#141996).  All these supplies are from Stampin’ Up! and can be ordered HERE.

Card #4
This last one is super simple and NOT a Christmas card. A number of greetings fit in that middle circle…so some of them it into a birthday card. This utilizes the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. That whole pack is designed using Night of Navy and Whisper White…love.
merriest-wishes-4Final Days of the DSP Sale!!
Last Chance to get a pack of DSP for FREE (a $14.50 value) when you order 3 others. Final day to order is Monday, October 31st. Click HERE to place your order.

Go ahead, put on some Christmas music, pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa and start crafting:)… It’s good for the soul.

Thanks for stopping by,
