Oh, the Places You Will Go

There is a stamp from a set in the current catalogue that says “Oh, the places you will go.” With each phase of life, I am experiencing that exact saying on so many different levels. For me, this saying doesn’t just refer to the physical places I will go, but also the emotional and spiritual places along this journey… Life is definitely a journey.

It has been a while since I have posted anything, and that’s simply because I have been going places! The last 6 months have brought many changes to our family. Our second daughter Samantha moved to Australia, our oldest daughter had a baby boy (making us grandparents for the first time), and Edgar and I traveled across the world to go visit Samantha and her husband Richie (a super big achievement for this mama who doesn’t like to fly). And this weekend, our “baby” Aaron just turned 20! Honestly, it’s sometimes a lot to process.

Here is an updated picture of Huxley Gordon who just turned 3 months. The happiest baby you will ever meet.We recently returned home from our visit with Samantha and Richie.

Stitched With Cheer

Are you looking for a simple way to get your Christmas cards done this year? I LOVE our new Stitched With Cheer Project Kit. Stitching is a very hot trend right now in the paper industry, and it takes me back to my cross-stitching days. The Stitched with Cheer Kit makes 18 cards: 6 of each of these 3 designs. Each design is already pierced…you just need to poke them through with your needle (which also is included:)) They are SO beautiful in real life. And I love that they come with coordinating envelope liners.

On this one, the trees are 3-D…you sew through 2 layers…adorable.This one is sewn with white and gold baker’s twine. The gold enamel dots add that special accent to each card.And finally… I think this is my favorite. I still love the country look of burlap and plaid.If you watch this video before you begin assembly, it has some helpful tips for you. I will be buying a few of these kits this year. I put the first one together on our last road trip. It’s great to take with you anywhere.
