I decorate my bulletin board…
I make the work stations look pretty…
And my classes are filled with heart projects. This first one is a shaker card created by one of my super talented leaders Sherry Roth.
And the inside looks like this…
Lots of new supplies were used to make this adorable card:
Stamp Sets – Hey Love (Occasions Catalogue), and Lined Alphabet (Annual Catalogue)
Cardstock – Thick White, Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo
Framelits – Be Mine Stitched Framelits (Occasions)
Embossing Folder – Tufted
Embellishments/Accessories – All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack & Heart Epoxy Droplets (Occasions)

To make the shaker card I adhered a piece of window sheet behind the heart opening. Then I lined the heart opening with our Foam Adhesive Strips. The filler is a bunch of hearts that came out of the multi mini heart framelit. I used Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and the brand new Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets (Sale-a-bration).

The stinkin’ sweet skunk was stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored in with Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo Blends.

The second one used the Meant to Be stamp set and coordinating Be Mine Framelits again.
There is one heart in that set that only stitches, so I used it on the navy background. Here’s a close-up.
For the third project, I tried to provide a card that used hearts but wasn’t necessarily for Valentines Day. This card idea came from Brenda Nelson and I immediately fell in love with it.
It even incorporates some of the Organdy Ribbon from the Sale-a-bration offerings.

Simple Sketch
I have a stack of old scrapbook magazines that I’m trying to make my way through. I like to pull out sketches that I can adapt with current products. This card came together pretty quickly with a few simple supplies.
Theme: Valentines Day
Supplies: Stamps, ink and paper
Tool: 1″ circle punch

I thought it would be perfect for my husband’s Valentines card:)

Measurements:
smallest Whisper White tile: 1-1/4″ x 1-3/4″
next Whisper White piece: 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Night of Navy piece: 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
Call me Clover piece: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″

Tip: Glue the white, night of navy, and call me clover pieces together and then punch the circles out (1″ circle) before adhering the whole thing onto your card! Then stamp your hearts inside the circles.

 And I finished off the inside like this:

Last night was my team meeting and the cards we made were beautiful and actually quite simple. We copied 2 ideas straight out of the newest Stampin’Up! publications.

We made the adorable treat packages found on pg. 8 of the Occasions Catalogue:The complete list of products used are right on the page so you don’t even have to go looking! They really DO make it easy. If you are looking for a cute packaging idea for Valentines Day, this would certainly fit the bill. And these images in the Hey Love stamp set are not just for kids! They’d be perfect for your fellow book club members or co-workers as well:)

 The other idea we copied was from the Sale-a-bration brochure on p. 8:The background is just strips of cardstock cut at 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and adhered flat with SNAIL adhesive. Simple, right? I used a tiny, tiny amount of Tombo Multipurpose Glue to adhere the wooden butterfly element.

And it’s always nice to make the inside of the card look pretty too…
Once again, all the supplies are listed right there. But this time, this project uses an item that you can get for free. When you buy the products to make the projects shown there, you’ll qualify for the free Sale-a-bration item used: Butterfly Elements.

As we breathe in a new year, I want to encourage us all to not be so hard on ourselves. We set goals…we fail at said goals…and we get discouraged and give up. Maybe our goals should just be DO BETTER. KEEP AT IT. Let go and move on. So here we go…

I saw that quote on a calendar, and it made me smile. Back in December, I made these simple calendars with the gals in my stamp club. I always do a desktop calendar with them to start the year and one that can be easily duplicated for them to give away as gifts. This year I simply downloaded a template online and added some patterns to the top 1″ of each month. I love how they turned out.

You can really play around with different patterns and techniques…on a smaller scale. I used post-it notes to block off the top 1″ so they all had a consistent look.
