Thanks for all you do

The third and final sample I made with this stamp set, is this cute pocket card. My family comes into my studio on occasion to be inspired when they need to make someone a card. Truth is, sometimes I’m inspire by them ♥ My daughter Samantha gave us this card last fall, and I loved it so much I decided to make one of my own.

The greeting “for all you do” is all one stamp, but with masking and a stamp-a-ma-jig I was able to break it up into 4 lines. I love baker’s twine…and I love buttons…so that just finishes it off nicely.

The second one I designed from that set was this heart gate-fold card.

The card base is Soft Suede cut at 5-1/2″ x 12…and scored at 1-3/4″, 3-7/8″, 8-1/8″, 10-1/4″. I stamped the Hardwood background stamp on the front 2 panels with Soft Suede ink. The half hearts on either end were done by placing the heart framelit on the Soft Suede cardstock, putting it into the Big Shot machine, but only going half way…then backing out. Does that make sense? (or else you’d cut the whole heart out of your card!)

Then just cut a full heart out of Best Year Ever DSP, cut it in half, and adhere on top of Soft Suede. Close up the card, wrap Soft Sky Cotton Twine around and attach two tags stamped with images from that set. I punched the one end with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.

I challenge you to try this fold…it’s a wow for sure!

One of my favourites from the new additions has got to be the For Being You stamp set. I actually had the privilege of being on the Sale-a-bration Panel this year, and was asked to design a couple of card ideas using that set.

Here is my first one:

The THANKS greeting was stamped on various scrap pieces of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (also a SAB item) and then cut out by hand. It only took a few extra minutes to cut the letters out, and I think it was worth it. Super cute! I wrapped a piece of soft sky cotton twine around the card to finish it off pretty.

Supplies used: Whisper White Cardstock, Best Year Ever DSP, Painted Blooms Cotton Twine, and the new For Being You stamp set.
