A Nice Cuppa

How would you finish this sentence → “There’s nothing better than a Nice Cuppa…”

It probably will not come as a surprise to most of you, but I would say there’s nothing better than a Nice Cuppa coffee. I love the smell of it…I love the taste of it…I love collecting coffee mugs…I have multiple coffee decor items…my husband roasts our coffee beans here at home so we always have the freshest coffee in town…what else can I say? I simply love coffee.

So naturally when I saw the stamp set called A Nice Cuppa with coordinating framelits called Cups & Kettles, I squealed a little bit:) I have been looking for ways to share how this bundle can be enjoyed by tea lovers AND coffee lovers alike. Be prepared to see many samples over the coming weeks.

Today I was working on a card with a challenge to make it “Big Shot focus”. All framelits require a Big Shot in order to die cut the pieces, but I’m talking about perhaps using the framelits in a different way. Here’s what I came up with:Coffee-First-3I die-cut the outline out of the front of the card…stamped and die-cut a black coffee cup to fit inside the opening…so when you open the card…Coffee-First-4Voila! You see this. What do you think? Pretty simple, but the colors are bold. I think I know a few people who are going to love this card.

I will be teaching a class using A Nice Cuppa stamp set and the coordinating Cups & Kettle framelits dies at our Stamp Cafe on Saturday, March 19th.

Coordinating Envelopes

I was sitting down today to make little thank you notes with coordinating envelopes…and then I turned on my laptop to see that the Envelope Punch Board is on the Weekly Deals this week!! Yay! I have sang it’s praises to my club members for a while now, and most of them have bought it already. But if some of you have been on the fence about it…wondering how much you would use it…let me say…ALL the time!

These are my customer thank you notes for this month:
Envelopes-2The coffee cup is die-cut from the Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies and the paper is from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. Super cute 3 x 3 cards.

The Envelope Punch Board makes TONS of different sizes of envelopes…66 to be exact!! The directions and measurements are printed right on the board, so it’s very easy to follow. It also has a wonderful corner rounder feature at the top. (I did not use it on these envelopes though.) But it’s the only corner rounder I use!
Envelopes-1It’s on sale for $18.75! Seriously…what are you waiting for?

Weekly Deals

It’s always so exciting to wake up on Tuesdays to see what the Weekly Deals are. Here they are for today:

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Stampin’ Up! is really helping us stock up on our box and bag tools. The Baker Box Thinlits Dies are another awesome one to own.

The new blossom punch is great for layering…it really makes those flowers pop. It actually coordinates with the Grateful Bunch stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue.

Then there’s the Butterfly Basics stamp set…oh my. If you haven’t purchased it yet, it’s bee-u-ti-ful:) Here are a few of my favorite cards using that set. I actually made a few of this first one for wedding cards last summer. The neutrals make this card so soft and pretty.
Butterfly-Basics-1Donna Wizniuk inked the whole surface of this card with Versamark and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on it. So shimmery!
Butterfly-Basics-2This one was made by Diana Gibbs. She is definitely the queen of coloring…
Butterfly-Basics-3A Convention swap from Jennifer Cornish…
Butterfly-Basics-4
This one was designed by Susan Paterson…
Butterfly-Basics-5
Look…it’s a slider card!
Butterfly-Basics-6And finally, I think this one was Lorna Raczynski’s swap…
Butterfly-Basics-7
Love them?! Are you inspired? The images in this set are so versatile and make great collage backgrounds.
