Birthday Blooms

So have you had a chance to look through the new Occasions Catalogue yet? One of the prettiest, softest, stamp set is Birthday Blooms…in my opinion anyway. There is lots of opportunity to watercolor with this set, but if you don’t enjoy coloring, it’s very pretty just by itself. You can feature it as a main image on your card like I have here, or you can create soft monochromatic backgrounds. (There is a perfect example of that on p.8 of the Occasions Catalogue.)
Birthday-Blooms-1This card was a sample from Founder’s Circle Retreat last September.  One of our gifts that weekend was this stamp set as well! So I’ve been hiding it for awhile:) Now it’s time to share it with you. Coordinating products available for this set can all be found on p.9 of the Occasions Catalogue: Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, Cardstock Pack (Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Whisper White Thick), Honeycomb Embellishments, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, and Bow Paper Clips Embellishments. It’s ALL so pretty!!

The card base here is Island Indigo and the layer on top is Gold Foil Designer Vellum. The patterns that come in that pack are polka dots, tiny hearts, and thick stripes. I lovingly cut out the flower image and adhered it over top of some of our beautiful gold thread.  Very elegant.
