Stamp Cafe

I was busy all last week getting ready for a customer event called Stamp Cafe. This is typically an event  I run with a few other leaders in my team and my family helps a ton!

Saturday was a little more challenging however, because our middle daughter was running a case competition at the U of A and my husband has been flat on his back now for 3 weeks with back/nerve pain. So our son Aaron was loaded with a lot of extra responsibilities. He really stepped up to the plate and did an awesome job setting up, running video/sound, doing the lunch run, and tearing down! I also enlisted the help of his girlfriend Kayla to run registration and prize patrol… and my mom helped with clean up. I seriously couldn’t have done the day without them!

Here are a few pics of the set up… I found this door post and sign at a Vintage Market here in Edmonton a couple of weekends ago. I LOVE it!!Stamp-Cafe-3Registration table…Stamp-Cafe-4Stamp Cafe was die-cut from fabric pieces and glued onto vanilla cardstock circles and then adhered to our kraft bags.Stamp-Cafe-5

More Cups!

I’m having a busy day…but here are a few more cups! All made with A Nice Cuppa stamp set. This one was designed by Brenda Nelson. I really like the folded over flap. And check out the silver spoon cut from our Silver Foil paper.A-Nice-Cuppa-1Like I said, I have a thing for cups! The options of colors and patterns are endless.  This color palette comes from the coordinating designer series paper stack. This one was designed by Karina Chin. The vellum heart steam is a sweet touch.A-Nice-Cuppa-2I love sharing set sampler ideas with all these talented ladies.

And finally, I love this design by Mary Fish. The “Hang in There” sentiment from the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-a-bration stamp set seemed very appropriate with the toppling cups paper. Ever have one of those days?A-Nice-Cuppa-3Gotta run for now…the to-do list is way too long today.

A Nice Cuppa

How would you finish this sentence → “There’s nothing better than a Nice Cuppa…”

It probably will not come as a surprise to most of you, but I would say there’s nothing better than a Nice Cuppa coffee. I love the smell of it…I love the taste of it…I love collecting coffee mugs…I have multiple coffee decor items…my husband roasts our coffee beans here at home so we always have the freshest coffee in town…what else can I say? I simply love coffee.

So naturally when I saw the stamp set called A Nice Cuppa with coordinating framelits called Cups & Kettles, I squealed a little bit:) I have been looking for ways to share how this bundle can be enjoyed by tea lovers AND coffee lovers alike. Be prepared to see many samples over the coming weeks.

Today I was working on a card with a challenge to make it “Big Shot focus”. All framelits require a Big Shot in order to die cut the pieces, but I’m talking about perhaps using the framelits in a different way. Here’s what I came up with:Coffee-First-3I die-cut the outline out of the front of the card…stamped and die-cut a black coffee cup to fit inside the opening…so when you open the card…Coffee-First-4Voila! You see this. What do you think? Pretty simple, but the colors are bold. I think I know a few people who are going to love this card.

I will be teaching a class using A Nice Cuppa stamp set and the coordinating Cups & Kettle framelits dies at our Stamp Cafe on Saturday, March 19th.
